The All India Waqf Sampatti Sanagrakhan Board (AIWSSB) was established with a clear objective: to protect Waqf properties and help preserve the purpose for which they were dedicated.

Across different places, Waqf properties have faced challenges such as encroachment, damage, neglect, deterioration and improper utilization. When such properties remain unused or are not properly maintained, the community loses the opportunity to benefit from valuable assets that were originally dedicated for charitable and social purposes.

AIWSSB was established with the vision of addressing these concerns and promoting the protection, preservation and responsible utilization of Waqf properties.

Why AIWSSB?
